Ankle, Animals, and Awesomeness

Happy Independence Day!  Here is a little recap of the end of June and pics from some of the excitement we've already had in July.

10 days ago, Todd had ANKLE surgery - poor guy.  Has to be completely off that foot for weeks.
Supervising the rest of us trying to take care of the yard
Escaping the summer heat with tasty treats at Dairy Queen
Thankfully, Grandma came to help out for a couple of weeks - and even got to celebrate her birthday with us.
In the waiting room during the operation. All 3 kids wanted to sit by Gma!
About to blow out the candles
Who likes ice cream cake?  I do! I do!
Each kid made a birthday card for Gma - I love how they are all so unique

On Monday, Todd went back to work and the rest of us went hiking and saw some large ANIMALS!

We've seen many does & fawns since moving here, but this was our 1st buck

Don't worry... all the bear pictures were taken from the safety of our van.

Here are some other AWESOME moments from the last couple weeks:
Anndra was all ears during the missionaries' lesson about the restoration
Lincoln loves having Grandma around because she's such a good listener
Parker learned how to blow up a balloon inside a balloon
Playing kickball at Girls' Camp near Eureka
This morning - celebrating the Fourth with sparklers in the backyard
