Trip to Maryland

I took Lincoln and Anndra to visit my sister Erika last week.  It was so fun for them to catch up with their cousin Addie.

My brother Ben brought 3 of his kids up from Virginia for the weekend.  We toured historic boats in Baltimore on Saturday.

Everyone had to cover their ears when the canon was fired.

 On Sunday we visited the US Naval Academy.

Monday we went to visit my brother Dan and his family. More fun cousin time!

On Tuesday we went to a place called Storyville.

Thanks to my awesome sibs for hosting us.  We had a marvelous time and can't wait to go back!

Double Digit

Parker is 10!  No more single-digit age for him.  He is officially a pre-teen.  Yikes!

He had a wonderful birthday and one of his favorite presents was a new camera.  The exciting feature of this camera is that it can take pictures and videos underwater.  So you can imagine how anxious he was to go to the pool and try it out.

We went out for pizza for his birthday dinner and the new camera recorded some of the yumminess:

Parker asked if he could have a trip to ColdStone instead of birthday cake, so we don't have a picture of him blowing out candles.  But he also asked if we could finally build a fire in our wood-burning stove.  It was fun and made our basement nice and toasty.

We love you, Parker!  We're so proud of the amazing young man you are becoming.
